The Perodua Bezza 2024 is the ultimate “Holiday Sedan” for Sarawak. Its defining feature is the massive 508-liter boot, which is nearly double the size of the Axia or Myvi. This makes it the only choice for travelers carrying multiple large suitcases, strollers, or shopping hauls. 

As a 2024 model, this car offers a refined, quiet cabin and superior fuel efficiency (up to 21km/L). It is powered by a 1.3L engine, giving you the extra torque needed to climb steep routes like the Serian-Sri Aman highway or the road to Damai with a full load of passengers. 

Q1: How much luggage fits in the Bezza vs the Myvi/Axia?  

The Bezza is the clear winner for luggage. Its 508L boot can fit: 

  • 3 Large Suitcases (24-28 inch) + Backpacks OR 
  • 2 Large Suitcases + 1 Foldable Stroller + Duffel Bags Unlike the Myvi, you do not need to fold down the rear seats to fit this cargo, allowing you to carry 5 passengers and all their bags comfortably. 

 

Q2: Is the Bezza powerful enough for 5 adults and hills?  

Yes. This unit is equipped with a 1.3L engine (94hp), which is significantly more powerful than the 1.0L Axia. It handles steep inclines and overtaking on the Pan Borneo Highway with confidence, even when fully loaded. 

 

Q3: Can I drive the Bezza to Miri, Sibu, or Bintulu?  

Yes, the Bezza is our top recommendation for long-distance outstation trips due to its stability and trunk space. Surcharges apply: 

  • Sibu / Sarikei: RM300 Fee 
  • Miri: RM600 Fee 
  • Mukah / Bintulu: RM500 Fee
